Reflection: After reading this article, two main things that stood out
to me is to take risks and to have faith. Even though many other countries may
be more advanced than the United
States, what they lack is the ability to
take risks. Steve Jobs was an incredible innovator because he was able to take
risks and have faith. Jobs stated “sometimes life hits you in the head with a
brick. Don’t lose faith”. He was fired from Apple which was a hard hit.
However, when he was rehired, he was able to accomplish a lot more. This
article certainly has me thinking about what else can be created if we all take
more risks and have more faith. I believe the traditional mindset of “playing
it safe” has to be first erased to move into the direction of creating,
innovating, and taking risks.
